Mike Fabricius has good understanding of community-based inclusive tourism, and skills to capitalize on collective energy and efforts of public, private and community organisations. He has provided exemplary support to ICIMOD’s Himalica project in developing Tourism Destination Management Plan for the Bandarban Hill District, Bangladesh (2017 – 2027). This plan is being used as guiding document for promotion of tourism in hill districts
