The Egyptian Tourism Federation was requested by the Ministry of Tourism to come up with a strategic direction for sustainable tourism growth and to produce futuristic development concepts for specific, selected tourism areas. ETF commissioned Keios Development Consultants to lead the project and The Journey participated as tourism specilaists.

Detailed filed excursions were undertaken to assess the area and its potential tourism opportunities and challenges. A visoning workshop was held with public and pirvate sector stakeholders and therefater the project team come up with a future vision and positioning for the area and various catalyst project options, These were mapped and presented to the client and following a few iterations, was accepted. The ETF and study team presented the outcomes to the Ministry of Tourism, for future progression to deatiled Master Plans.
