We conducted 3-day intercative training workshops of destination management, sustainable tourism management, community-based tourism and various related topics for 80 expert officials from all 11 of Ethiopia's regions. The workshops were held at various venues and were co-organised by our local team and the Ministry of Tourism.

The workshop format consisted of theoretical presentations, whereafter delegates worked in small groups of 6-8 officials to address related tasks that were assigned to them. Each group appointed a scribe and spokesperson who presented their solutions to the plenary group and also submitted written assignments.
